iWHMCS and Direct Admin

Since Ive been working on web hosting, Ive been trying to learn as much as I can about direct admin and whmcs. They are both great products, but quite a bit to learn. I was working on doing backups for users manually and searched through direct admin. Doing backups is available, but definitely need to find a good workflow for it. Whmcs has been amazing, however their iPhone app has been less than great. After a $40 purchase to turn on iWHMCS, I downloaded the app, and it crashes every time upon login. Tried on other phones, still the same issue. Im hoping there’s a fix for it soon,
Im still learning this stuff, but I’m enjoying learning it. If anyone has some good practices with the software, please feel free to email me or write a comment. Thanks!

New Theme

So I decided I didn’t like the way my blog looked. Im no designer, so I found a theme I like. I think I’ll keep this one for a little bit and see how I like it. Let me know what you think!

SpiderOak

So SpiderOak is an online backup solution for syncing your files from a computer to a cloud storage. At first I wasn’t too crazy about it because I had a few issues, but after the kinks, things have been great. It automatically keeps things backed up without me needing to think about it. I still use Drop Box for some things, however SpiderOak is another tool I will be using in the future. If you’re interested, please check them out: Sign Up!

Body Mod Exchange Donations

I’m going to start an online community forum for anyone interested in different types of body modification. For anyone interested in helping contribute to the cost of domain/hosting/licensing fees, please feel free to click on the Donate button below! It’s going to take me around $400 to get this up and going. I don’t mind paying, although it would be great to have some help! Thanks!

Roc Rider – Rochester’s Bike Community

Hey guys, I’ve had Roc Rider up and running for about a year now, and there was a little bit of activity at first, but I’d really like to get it going again. Spring season is upon us and I’d like to maybe do some meets and get some good information on there. Check it out at http://www.rocrider.com

Body Modification Community Site

I’ve been considering creating a Body Modification Community site for a while now. I like BME, however I don’t like having to pay for a membership for BME or IAM. I’ll be thinking about features people might like to see. If you’d be interested in a project like this, please contact me. I’d like to have a free membership for people and have a few options for paid memberships/advertisement. Thanks a lot.

Just Purchased a NetBook: Acer Aspire One

So a year ago, I purchased an Acer Aspire One, and I thought it was pretty cool. There were features about it that I wasn’t crazy about, however. I wasn’t too pleased with the keyboard, and the screen was a bit too small. I ended up selling it because it just wasn’t something I could see myself using a lot.
The other night, I was in Walmart just looking for a tube for my bike when I casually stopped by the electronics department which I do a lot. I just skimmed by the laptops and noticed a new netbook. It was a new Acer Aspire One. The keys were a great feeling and full size! Not to mention, the screen was 11.6″ HD display. This was a million times better. I immediately purchased the laptop to take home and play around with it. So far so good. I’m still playing with it and learning the things it can do. Once I get some more time with it, I’ll be posting a review on it to let people know what I think!

Edit: Ended up selling the Acer to fund a new bike for commuting. Details to come!
